NMAHP RU will contribute understanding of the challenges (and facilitators) for implementation of the interventions and ensure that implementation potential is maximised with reference to current evidence and implementation science.

Prof. Margaret Maxwell is Director of the NMAHP RU and Professor of Health Services and Mental Health Research. She has been involved in several European research collaborations tackling suicide and depression, and has evaluated several national programmes for improving mental health and long-term conditions.

Charlotte Paterson is a Research Fellow at the Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Research Unit (NMAHP-RU). Previously, she has qualified as a Clinical Associated in Applied Psychology (CAAP) in the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland and completed her PhD, which investigated psychological interventions for acute mental health inpatient settings. Charlotte has also worked on a variety of health services research projects involving the development, evaluation and implementation of interventions in the NHS.
