EAAD leads the development of the intervention components for depression/anxiety and creation and maintenance of the Hub, as well as participates in the pilot and cluster randomised controlled trial in cooperation with the German Depression Foundation. EAAD also leads the communication, dissemination and exploitation activities.
Prof. Ulrich Hegerl is on the Board of Directors of EAAD. He is also Professor and Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Leipzig. Prof. Hegerl is an international expert in depression research and suicide prevention and has coordinated several large EU-funded projects on these topics (e.g. PREDI-NU, OSPI Europe).
Kahar Abula is an International Coordinator at EAAD who focuses on coordinating EAAD´s international activities targeting improved care and optimized treatment for patients with depression and prevention of suicidal behavior. At the same time, he is also involved in the MENTUPP project and other EAAD research activities.
Pia is a psychologist and works as a Project Manager at EAAD, coordinating communication and dissemination activities for the MENTUPP-project. Moreover, she is involved in the EU-funded project EAAD-Best, as well as in other EAAD activities.
Katharina is a project manager at EAAD, supporting MENTUPP and other EAAD activities. She holds a PhD in psychology and has extensive research experience in the areas of cognitive and emotional development after working at different Universities across Europe.
